Spear Earrings

Please use gentle pressure and screwing technique to avoid bending. Gently remove the cylinder shaped backing with the brand logo from the Spear by unscrewing. Hold the top post of the Spear and insert into your piercing. The 10K Spear Barbell is strong but delicate and should be handled with care. Choose the stone, pearl, or bead you’d like and slide it onto the Spear by gently screwing it on until it reaches the middle or your desired placement. If you have additional stones, pearls, or beads repeat the process above. Finally, screw back on the secure bottom post.

Insert the curved stud into your piercing and let the post will hang under the lobe. Gently screw the sphere shaped stone or pearl onto the post until a bit of it shows at the end. This is the very subtle “stinger” detail that extends out of the backing when worn. Interchangeable with the Spear design, the Bumble Bee sphere backing fits on the barbell.

How to wear Ear Cuffs

How to Put On Ear Cuffs:

  • Position the open part of the ear cuff onto the upper lobe, the thinnest part of the ear. Gently slide the ear cuff down towards the inner conch, placing it as desired.
  • When wearing the smaller ear cuff, position it on the higher part of the lobe, making sure the end of the ear cuff overlaps the cartilage and is nestled inside the upper conch for a secure fit.

How to Take Off Ear Cuffs:

  • Slide the ear cuffs upward and carefully remove them from the thinner part.  With practice, this will become easy.
  • We recommend removing any earrings on the upper ear first to facilitate the removal of the ear cuff.

Additional Tips:

  • Ear cuff fit can vary based on your ear's shape and the thickness of your lobes. Thicker lobes may benefit from larger cuffs to avoid pinching, while very thin ears may prefer smaller cuffs to ensure they stay in place.
  • Avoid attempting to forcefully widen or close the ear cuff's opening, as gold jewelry, while sturdy, is also delicate and could break under such pressure, risking damage and the loss of stones.
  • Discover the variety of ear cuff styles available at Hirotaka. For beginners, we recommend the Akoya Pearl Ear Cuff and the "All About Basics" Double Line Ear Cuff. These styles feature thinner gold lines that are slightly adjustable, offering greater flexibility compared to bolder gold options.
